Uganda 5,000 Shillings Banknote, 2017, P-51e, UNC, TAP 60-70 Authenticated

The Uganda 5,000 Shillings Banknote was released by the Bank of Uganda in 2017. The obverse of this green banknote features The World War I and II memorial at the Constitutional Square in Kampala. It also displays the Rwenzori mountains, a profile of a man wearing the karimojong headdress, the coat of arms of Uganda, and a purple-to-green Optically Variable Ink patch. The reverse of the note depicts a profile of a man wearing a karimojong headdress, a sun, a map, a bird's nest, weaver birds, and the National Independence Monument in Kampala. Its security features include a red-to-green windowed security thread with a demetallized BOU V and a watermark that reveals a crested crane and an electrotype 5000. The banknote measures 139 x 68 mm and is signed by Susan Kanyemibwa and Emmanuel Tumusiime Mutebile. This particular paper bill is in uncirculated condition and has been TAP authenticated with a grade of 60 to 70.
