The banknotes obverse displays the coat of arms, the outline map of Uganda, and the seal of the Bank of Uganda. Depicted on its reverse design is the Parliament building in Kampala. The paper bill was printed by Thomas De La Rue and Company Limited and carries a solid security thread. It also has a watermark that reveals a crested crane. This Uganda 50 Shilling banknote has been given a grade of 67 by the Paper Money Guaranty.
