The Uganda 50 Shilling banknote is part of the family of notes released by the Bank of Uganda in 1998. The banknote is in red and is 142 x 69 mm in size. Featured on the red banknotes obverse are the coat of arms, the outline map of Uganda, and the seal of the Bank of Uganda. On the reverse design is the Parliament building in Kampala. Printed by Thomas De La Rue and Company Limited, the note bears a solid security thread and a watermark that reveals a crested crane. This paper bill has been given a grade of 68 by the Paper Money Guaranty.
