This uncirculated 500 Ukranian hryvna note is a commemorative banknote issued by the National Bank of Ukraine to celebrate the 300th anniversary of the birth of Gregory Skovoroda. It is a beige banknote that is dated 2021, bears the signature of Kyrylo Shevchenko, and measures 154 mm x 75 mm. Its obverse side features Gregory Skovoroda (Hryhorii Skovoroda), a Ukrainian philosopher who epitomized the spiritual awakening of Ukrainian society in the 18th-century. Its reverse side depicts a view of Kyiv Mohyla Academy. Security features include an open book SPARK feature, a windowed holographic security thread with a demetalized 500, a solid security thread with 500 and a trident, and a watermark of Gregory Skovoroda. Additionally, the banknote comes in a commemorative folder-card.
