Part of the first series of banknotes issued by the United Arab Emirates Central Bank (CBA), the 50 UAE dirham of 1982 is a purple note that measures 151 mm x 64 mm. The obverse side features an oryx facing left and UAEs coat of arms. The reverse side features Al Jahili Fort, which is one of the largest forts in UAE, and a Saker falcon, UAEs national bird. The note has a solid security thread and a watermark of a Saker falcon head. It measures 151 mm by 64 mm.
