The Uruguay 20 Peso Uruguayos banknote was issued by the Central Bank of Uruguay in 2008. It comes in a color combination of green, purple, and red. The obverse features the coat of arms of Uruguay and Juan Zorilla de San Martin. It also carries a registration device in the form of laurels, an ink well, a quill, and a scroll. The back of the note depicts the allegory of the Patriot Legend showing a flying bare-breasted angel. The banknote is 159 x 74 mm in size and bears a windowed security thread. It also has a watermark that shows Jose Gervasio Artigas. This paper bill has been TAP authenticated and is in uncirculated condition.
