The Uruguay 5,000 Nuevos Pesos banknote is part of the 1983 ND issues released by the Central Bank of Uganda. It has a color combination of reddish-brown, dark brown, blue, and green and measures 159 x 74 mm. The obverse side shows the coat of arms, Brigadier General Juan Antonio Lavalleja in military uniform, and scales and rising sun underprint pattern. The reverse side features a quill, a crowd of people amid flags of Brazil, Argentina, Paraguay, and UK Merchant Navy, on the promulgation of the constitution on 18 July 1830 in Plaza Matriz in front of the cabildo, Montevideo. This banknote uses a solid security thread with printed URUGUAY and contains a watermark with a Jose Gervasio Artigas design. This Series B banknote is in uncirculated condition and has been TAP authenticated with a grade of 60-70.
