Uruguay 500 Pesos Uruguayos Banknote, 2014, P-97a.1, UNC

The Uruguay 500 Pesos Uruguayos banknote is part of the 2014 issues. It is blue, purple, red, and green in color and measures 159 x 74 mm. The obverse side shows a denomination as a registration device, the coat of arms, laurels, open book, and rising sun as registration devices, Alfredo Vquez Acevedo, and the map of Uruguay in green SPARK. The reverse side features the Universidad de la Replica (University of the Republic) building in Montevideo and laurels, open book, and rising sun. This banknote uses a 4-mm wide holographic windowed security thread with demetalized BCU 500 and contains a watermark with an Alfredo Vquez Acevedo and electrotype Quinientos and 500 stacked three times design.
