The 5 Venezuelan Bolivar Fuerte banknote is dated 20 March 2007 and signed by Central Bank of Venezuela President Gaston Parra Luzardo and Director Jose Ferrer Nava. Its vertically-oriented obverse side features Pedro Camejo, the national hero who is also known as Negro Primero. Its reverse side features two giant armadillos (Priodontes maximus) and palm trees from Los Llanos. Security features include a solid security thread with demetalized BCV 5 and a watermark of Pedro Camejo with an electrotype 5. Its dimensions are 156 mm x 69 mm.
