This uncirculated 1,000 Vietnamese Dong note is dated 1988. It has purple, green, yellow, and light blue colors and dimensions of 135 mm x 65 mm. Its obverse side shows the Vietnamese coat of arms and a portrait of Ho Chi Minh, the former leader of Vietnam. Its reverse side depicts a mahout riding an elephant that is dragging a felled tree in the forest. Though the note does not have a security thread, it has a flower pattern watermark and a binary radar serial number.
