Customer reviews

The 1,000 franc banknote from West African States features a bronze weight figure of a sawfish, the mythological symbol for prosperity and fecundity in West Africa, which was used by the Akan and Baoule tribes for commercial exchanges of gold powder on its obverse side. The obverse side also has images of a classroom and the Bowl of Hygieia, the symbol of pharmacy. The reverse side features two camels in a desert in Burkina Faso: one is standing and the other is kneeling, and a vertical pearlescent stripe with a repeating 1000. The banknote has a 1-mm wide solid security thread with printed UMOA 1000, a watermark of a sawfish, and an electrotype watermark of 1000.
