The West African States - Burkina Faso 500 Francs Banknote was issued by the Central Bank of the West African States in 2020 for Burkina Faso. It has a color combination of orange, brown, and green. Its obverse side shows a sawfish figurine, a map of Africa, electronic circuits, and a hand using a tablet. Its reverse side depicts two hippopotamuses (Hippopotamus amphibius) standing in a savannah and the penal code. Security features include a 1-mm wide solid security thread with printed UMOA 500, a denomination registration device, and a watermark of a sawfish with an electrotype 500. It is 114 mm x 60 mm and is signed by Tiemoko Meyliet Kone and Romuald Wadagni. This banknote is in uncirculated condition and has been TAP authenticated with a grade of 60-70.
