This uncirculated 500 West African CFA franc banknote is a standard circulation banknote issued by the Central Bank of the West African States for Guinea-Bissau. It is an orange, brown, and green note that is dated 2018, bears the signatures of Tiemoko Meyliet Kone and Amadou Ba, and measures 114 mm x 60 mm. Its obverse side shows a sawfish figurine, the map of Africa, electronic circuits, and a hand touching a screen on a tablet. Its reverse side depicts two hippopotamuses (Hippopotamus amphibius) standing in a field and the penal code. Security features include a 1-mm wide solid security thread with a printed UMOA 500, a denomination registration device, and a watermark of a sawfish with an electrotype 500.
