The West African States - Mali 5,000 Francs Banknote was issued by the Central Bank of the Western African States in 2019 for Mali. It has a color combination of green, blue, yellow, brown, and orange. Its obverse side shows a sawfish figurine, an aerial view of irrigated rice fields, and banana trees. Its reverse side depicts two Buffon’s Kob antelopes (Kobus kob kob) in savannah and the penal code. Security features include an 8-mm wide windowed holographic stripe with a sawfish, BCEAO, and 5000, a 1-mm wide solid security thread with a printed UMAO 5000, a denomination registration device, and a watermark of a sawfish with an electrotype 5000. It is 141 mm x 74 mm in size and is signed by Tiemoko Meyliet Kone and Romuald Wadagni. This particular banknote is in uncirculated condition and has been TAP authenticated with a grade of 60-70.
