This uncirculated 5,000 West African CFA franc banknote is a standard circulation banknote that is issued by the Central Bank of the Western African States for Mali. It is a green, blue, yellow, brown, and orange banknote that is dated 2019, bears the signatures of Tiemoko Meyliet Kone and Romuald Wadagni, and measures 141 mm x 74 mm. Its obverse side shows a sawfish figurine, an aerial view of irrigated rice fields, and banana trees. Its reverse side depicts two Buffon’s Kob antelopes (Kobus kob kob) in savannah and the penal code. Security features include an 8-mm wide windowed holographic stripe with a sawfish, BCEAO, and 5000, a 1-mm wide solid security thread with a printed UMAO 5000, a denomination registration device, and a watermark of a sawfish with an electrotype 5000.
