The West African States - Mali 500 Francs Banknote was issued by the Central Bank of the West African States in 2019 for Mali. It has a color combination of orange, brown, and green. Its obverse side shows a sawfish figurine, the map of Africa, electronic circuits, and a hand touching a screen on a tablet. Its reverse side depicts two hippopotamuses (Hippopotamus amphibius) standing in a field and the penal code. Security features include a 1-mm wide solid security thread with a printed UMOA 500, a denomination registration device, and a watermark of a sawfish with an electrotype 500. The note is 114 mm x 60 mm and is signed by Tiemoko Meyliet Kone and Romuald Wadagni. This particular banknote is in uncirculated condition and has been TAP authenticated with a grade of 60-70.
