This uncirculated 5,000 West African CFA franc note is a standard circulation banknote issued by the Central Bank of the West African States for Senegal. It is a green, blue, yellow, brown, and orange note that is dated 2023, bear the signatures of Jean Claude Brou and Saniyaya, and measures 141 mm x 74 mm. Its obverse side features a sawfish figure, an aerial view of irrigated fields, and banana trees. Its reverse side shows two Buffon’s Kob antelopes (Kobus kobus) and the penal code. Security features include an 8-mm wide windowed holographic stripe with a sawfish, BCEAO, and 5,000, a 1-mm wide solid security thread with printed UMOA 5000, and a watermark of a sawfish with an electrotype 5000.
