The Western Samoa 1 Tala Banknote was issued by the Monetary Board of Western Samoa in 2000. This modern reprint bears an S prefix and has a combination of green, purple, red, and blue. Its obverse side depicts the flag waving in the wind with the mountain in the background and two woman weavers. Its reverse side depicts two men paddling a canoe, the national coat of arms, and the flag. Security features include a solid security thread, a serial number with an S-prefix, and a watermark of Malietoa Tanumafili II. It is 140 mm x 72 mm and is signed by Filipo Vaovasamanaia. This modern reprint banknote is in uncirculated condition and has been TAP authenticated with a grade of 60-70.
