The Zaire 1,000 Zaires banknote is part of the 1989 issues. It is purple in color and measures 144 x 70 mm. The obverse side shows a leopard, Mobutu Sese Seko in uniform with a cap, and the coat of arms. The reverse side features the Palais du Peuple (Palace of the People) building and fountain in Kinshasa and bank initials. This banknote uses a solid security thread printed REPUBLIQUE DU ZAIRE and contains a watermark with a Mobutu Sese Seko design. It is graded 67 by the Paper Money Guarantee (PMG).
