The Zaire 1 Million Zaires banknote is part of the May 1993 issues. It is red in color and measures 160 x 80 mm. The obverse side shows a leopard, Mobutu Sese Seko. in uniform with a cap, and the coat of arms. The reverse side features the OEBK (Organization uipage Banana-Kinshasa) suspension bridge (aka Pont Marhal) over the Congo River at port Matadi, with a tanker underneath and bank initials. This banknote uses a windowed security thread with demetalized REPUBLIQUE DU ZAIRE and contains a watermark with a Mobutu Sese Seko. design.
