The Zaire 1 Nouveau Likuta banknote is part of the 1993 issues. It is brown in color and measures 124 x 58 mm. The obverse side shows a leopard and Mobutu Sese Seko in uniform with a cap. The reverse side features the Monument of the Kamanyola battle in South Kivu, the coat of arms, and bank initials. This banknote uses a solid security thread with demetalized REPUBLIQUE DU ZAIRE and contains no watermark.
