The Zaire 100 Zaire Specimen banknote was released by the Bank of Zaire in 1985. Its obverse design consists of a leopard, the coat of arms of Zaire, and a portrait of former president Mobutu Sese Seko wearing civilian clothes with a toque. It also comes with a diagonal red SPECIMEN overprint. The back of the paper bill depicts the bank initials, the Banque du Zaire building, and a diagonal red SPECIMEN overprint. The orange paper bill is 149 x 73 mm in size and bears a solid security thread. It also has a watermark that reflects an image of Mobutu Sese Seko.
