The Zaire 100 Zaires specimen banknote was issued by the Banque du Zaire in 1988. Its obverse side features a leopard, the national coat of arms, a diagonal red SPECIMEN overprint, and a portrait of Mobutu Sese Seko in uniform. Its reverse side shows a view of the Palais du Peuple (Palace of the People) in Kinshasa and a diagonal red SPECIMEN overprint. Security features include a solid security thread with printed REPUBLIQUE DU ZAIRE, an all-zero serial number, and a watermark of Mobutu Sese Seko. It is 144 mm x 70 mm in size and is signed by Bank Governor Pay Pay wa Syakassighe. This specimen banknote is in uncirculated condition and has been TAP authenticated with a grade of 60-70.
