The Zaire 5 Zaires Banknote was issued by the Bank of Zaire in 1979. This blue banknote features the coat of arms of Zaire on its obverse. It also depicts Mobutu Sese Seko wearing civilian clothes with a toque. The reverse depicts a carving of a seated woman and the Inga I hydroelectric dam on the Congo River. The note contains a solid security thread printed with REPUBLIQUE DU ZAIRE. It also has a watermark that reveals Mobutu Sese Seko and 5 ZAIREs. It is 170 X 85 mm in size and is signed by Jules Croy Emony Mondange. This specimen banknote is in uncirculated condition and has been TAP authenticated with a grade of 60-70.
