The Zaire 500 Zaires banknote is part of the 1984-1985 issues. It is purple in color and measures 154 x 76 mm. The obverse side shows a leopard, Mobutu Sese Seko in uniform with a cap, and the coat of arms. The reverse side features bank initials and the OEBK (Organization uipage Banana-Kinshasa) suspension bridge (aka Pont Marhal) over the Congo River at port Matadi, with a tanker underneath. This banknote uses a solid security thread printed REPUBLIQUE DU ZAIRE and contains a watermark with a Mobutu Sese Seko design. It is graded 67 by the Paper Money Guarantee (PMG).
