The Zaire 500 Zaires Banknote was issued by the Bank of Zaire in 1989. The obverse of the red banknote features a leopard, the coat of arms of Zaire, and a portrait of Mobutu Sese Seko wearing a uniform and a cap. The back of the paper bill displays the Organization Equipage Banana-Kinshasa suspension bridge which is also known as Pont Marechal over the Congo River, a tanker, and the bank initials. The banknote contains a solid security thread with REPUBLIQUE DU ZAIRE and a watermark that reflects Mobutu Sese Seko. The note is 139 x 67 mm in size and is in uncirculated condition. The paper bill has also been TAP authenticated with a grade of 60-70.
