Zaire 500 Zaires Banknote, 1989, P-34, UNC

The Zaire 500 Zaires banknote is part of the 1989 issues. It is red in color and measures 139 x 67 mm. The obverse side shows a leopard, Mobutu Sese Seko in uniform with a cap, and the coat of arms. The reverse side features the OEBK (Organization uipage Banana-Kinshasa) suspension bridge (aka Pont Marhal) over the Congo River at port Matadi, with a tanker underneath and bank initials. This banknote uses a solid security thread printed REPUBLIQUE DU ZAIRE and contains a watermark with a Mobutu Sese Seko design.
