The obverse side of the note features the coat of arms of Zambia along with a fish eagle perched on a branch, a dove, and a Murera tree. The reverse side of the note features the Freedom Statue in Lusaka, cassava root plant and leaves, and a lion's feed. The banknote's security features include a windowed security thread with a demetalized BOZ 5000, a fish eagle watermark, an electrotype 5000 plus fish eagle, and cornerstones.
