The Zambia 500 Kwacha banknote is part of the 1989-1991 issues. It is brown in color and measures 140 x 70 mm. The obverse side shows the fish eagle, the coat of arms, a baobab tree, President Kenneth Kaunda, and a hand holding a torch. The reverse side features an elephant, the Freedom Statue in Lusaka, and five women picking cotton in the field with trees. This banknote uses a windowed security thread and contains a watermark with a Kenneth Kaunda design. It is graded 64 by the Paper Money Guarantee (PMG).
