Zero Euro Europe Banknote, 2017, UNC, 1st Print, Deutsches Werkzeugmuseum in Germany

The Zero Euro banknote from the 2017-1st print series featured the Deutsches Werkzeugmuseum in Germany. The note was designed by the creator of famous currency souvenirs, Richard Faile, with an authorized printing by the European Central Bank (ECB). To promote tourism, the note was issued with designs that highlight the iconic landmarks of Europe. Printed on the obverse side of the note is the Brandenburg Gate, Big Ben, the Eiffel Tower, the Colosseum, Sagrada Familia, Manneken Pis, and the Mona Lisa. On the reverse is a flywheel of a steam engine from the Deutsches Werkzeugmuseum in Remscheid, a technology museum that existed since 1967 and houses a collection of national handicrafts including hand tools, machine tools, and power tools from the Stone Age to the 21st century. The security features of the note share many of the same characteristics of a real Euro except that it is printed with 0 and is not considered a legal tender.
