Zero Euro Europe Banknote, 2017, UNC, 1st Print, Nougat Montelimar in France

The Chateau des Adhemar in the French town of Montelimar is featured in the Zero Euro banknote 2017-1st print series. It was designed by the creator of famous currency souvenirs, Richard Faile, with an authorized printing by the European Central Bank (ECB). The souvenir banknote shares many of the same characteristics of a real Euro except that they are marked as 0 and are not considered a legitimate financial currency. Its front design is focused on the iconic landmarks of Europe including the Brandenburg Gate, Big Ben, the Eiffel Tower, the Colosseum, Sagrada Familia, Manneken Pis, and the Mona Lisa. On the reverse is the 10th-century Chateau des Adhemar, a medieval palace of the Adhemar family that was later converted to a Renaissance-style chateau and the Nougat of Montelimar delicacy, a famous sweet treat in the south of France.
