The Zero Euro banknote that features the old town of Rothenburg ob der Tauber in Germany is part of the 2017, 1st print series. Its a souvenir banknote with an authorized printing by the European Central Bank (ECB) designed by Richard Faile, creator of famous currency souvenirs, to promote tourism and to highlight the rich culture, beauty, and history of Europe. Printed on the obverse side are some of the most iconic landmarks in Europe including the Brandenburg Gate, Big Ben, the Eiffel Tower, the Colosseum, Sagrada Familia, Manneken Pis, and the Mona Lisa. On the reverse is a magnificent view of the Rothenburg ob der Tauber, an old town famous for its well-preserved medieval architectures and buildings, and a popular tourist destination around the world. The banknote shares many of the same characteristics of a real Euro except that they are marked as 0 and are not accepted as legitimate financial currency.
