Zero Euro Europe Banknote, 2017, UNC, 2nd Print, Le Puy-De-Et La Chaine De Puys, France

The Zero Euro banknote from the 2017-2nd print series features the Chaine des Puys in France. It depicts the majestic view of the Puy de Dome, the youngest volcano in the chain of cinder cones, lava domes, and maars in the Massif Central of France also known as the Chaine des Puys. Its summit, which was once an assembly place for spiritual ceremonies in the early years, is now one of the most visited sites in the Auvergne region famous for its Paragliding spot. The note was designed by the creator of famous currency souvenirs, Richard Faile, to promote tourism and to highlight the rich culture, beauty, and history of Europe. Printed on the front design are the famous landmarks of Europe including the Brandenburg Gate, Big Ben, the Eiffel Tower, the Colosseum, Sagrada Familia, Manneken Pis, and the Mona Lisa. The souvenir banknote shares many of the same features of a real Euro except that it is printed with O and is not accepted as a legitimate financial currency.
