Zero Euro Europe Banknote, 2017, UNC, 2nd Print, Schloss Burg in Solingen, Germany

The Zero Euro banknote was designed by Richard Faile with an authorized printing by the European Central Bank (ECB) to promote tourism. The souvenir banknote shares many of the same characteristics of a real Euro except that it is marked as 0 and is not accepted as legitimate financial currency. On its 2017-2nd print series, the note featured the Schloss Burg castle in Germany. Its design highlighted the statue of Adolf I, the first count of Berg during the medieval period, in front of the historic 12th-century Schloss Burg castle. On the obverse side of the note are famous tourist destinations around Europe including the iconic landmarks of Europe the Brandenburg Gate, Big Ben, the Eiffel Tower, the Colosseum, Sagrada Familia, Manneken Pis, and the Mona Lisa.
