The Zero Euro banknote that features the Duisburg Zoo in Germany is part of the 2017, 4th print series. Its a souvenir banknote with an authorized printing by the European Central Bank (ECB) designed by Richard Faile, creator of famous currency souvenirs, to promote tourism and to highlight the rich culture, beauty, and history of Europe. Printed on the obverse side are some of the most iconic landmarks in Europe including the Brandenburg Gate, Big Ben, the Eiffel Tower, the Colosseum, Sagrada Familia, Manneken Pis, and the Mona Lisa. On the reverse are a raccoon and a wolf that lives in Duisburg Zoo, the largest zoological garden in Germany founded in May 1934. The banknote shares many of the same characteristics of a real Euro except that they are marked as 0 and are not accepted as legitimate financial currency.
