Zero Euro Europe Banknote, 2018, UNC, 29th Print

The Republic of Senegal was featured in the Zero Euro banknote 2018-29th print series. The note was designed by Richard Faile to promote tourism and to recognize the 32 countries that joined the 2018 FIFA World Cup. The front design of the note depicts the iconic landmarks of Europe including the Brandenburg Gate, Big Ben, the Eiffel Tower, the Colosseum, Sagrada Familia, Manneken Pis, and the Mona Lisa. On the reverse is a Senegalese soccer player with the Great Mosque of Touba in the background, one of the largest mosque in Africa that houses the annual Grand Magal of Touba religious pilgrimage. With an authorized printing by the European Central Bank (ECB), the banknote shares many of the same features of a real Euro except that it is printed with 0 and is not accepted as legitimate financial currency.
