The Zimbabwe 1,000 Dollar banknote was released by the Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe in 2003 in a blue and gray color combination. The obverse of the note features the Chiremba balancing rocks in Epworth, a bauhinia flower, and giraffes. The back of the paper bill depicts giraffes and elephants. The banknote contains a holographic stripe and a solid security thread with a demetallized RBZ 1000. It also carries a watermark in the form of a Zimbabwe bird Type C and an electrotype 1000. The banknote measures 153 x 77 mm and is in uncirculated condition. It also has a radar serial number WN1014101 and has been TAP authenticated.
