The Zimbabwe 1 Billion Dollar Banknote is part of the 2007-2008 series that removed ten zeros from the old Zimbabwe dollar in an effort to streamline financial transactions. It is 148 x 74 mm in size and is predominantly green in color. The obverse side bears the image of the Chiremba balancing rocks in Epworth along with artistic images of grains and cow in underprint. The reverse side shows Aloe excelsa trees and a trumpeting African elephant. Although this banknote has no security thread, it features a 3-mm gold-to-green OVI stripe instead.
