This 100,000 Zimbabwean dollar note is dated 2008 and bears the signature of the Reserve Bank Governor, Dr. Gideon Gono. It is a purple note that measures 148 mm x 74 mm. Its obverse side features the Chiremba Rocks in Epworth, a Zimbabwe bird in optically-variable ink (OVI), and an underprint of stylized grains and cows. Its reverse side contains a printing error and shows a Cape buffalo and a bush elephant. Though the note does not have a watermark, it has a 7-mm wide iridescent stripe with repeating RBZ. It is also a superb gem uncirculated note that qualified for Paper Money Guaranty’s Exceptional Paper Quality, experienced very minor handling, and has slightly off-center margins and registration. Thus, it is graded 68 by the Paper Money Guaranty (PMG). The note was demonetized in 2015.
