The banknote's obverse side features the Chiremba Balancing rocks in Epworth while the reverse side features ancient Great Zimbabwe ruins and Aloe excelsa trees. The banknote's security features include a windowed security thread with demetalized RBZ 100 and balancing rocks hologram to enhance its security features. A Zimbabwe bird Type C watermark and electrotype 100 are also made visible under UV light.
