This note is a replacement note for a 50 billion Zimbabwean dollar note. The 50 billion Zimbabwean dollar note was introduced by the Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe in 2009 and demonetized in 2015. It is a brown note that is dated 2008, bears the signature of Dr. Gideon Gono, and measures 148 mm x 74 mm. Its obverse side features the Chiremba Balancing Rocks in Epworth and a Zimbabwe bird in optically variable ink (OVI). Its reverse side shows the Great Zimbabwe ruins and the RBZ headquarters building. The note does not have a security thread or a watermark. However, it has a 3-mm green-to-gold OVI stripe with repeating RBZ.
