This Zimbabwe 500 Dollar banknote from 2001 is part of the 1994 - 2004 series. The obverse side of the note features the Chiremba balancing rocks in Epworth, two zebras, and bitter apple flowers. The reverse side features the Hwange thermal power station smokestacks and cooling towers. The note measures 155 x 78 mm and contains a holographic stripe and a solid security thread with a demetalized RBZ 500 to enhance its security features. Placing the note under a UV light would reflect a watermark image of the Zimbabwe bird Type C and electrotype 500.
