This uncirculated 1,000 West African CFA franc note is a standard circulation banknote issued by the Central Bank of the Western African States. It is a pink, brown, orange, and purple note that is dated 2017, bear the signatures of Tiemoko Meyliet Kone and Amadou Ba, and measures 125 mm x 65 mm. Its obverse side features a sawfish figurine, textbooks, a globe centered on the map of Africa, a chalk slate, a red cross, and the Bowl of Hygieia, the symbol of pharmacy that is made of a snake entwined around a chalice stem. Its reverse side depicts two camels (Camelus dromedarius) in Burkina Faso and the penal code. Security features include a 1-mm wide solid security thread with printed UMOA 1000, a denomination registration device, and a watermark of a sawfish with an electrotype 1000.
