This uncirculated 60 Samoan tala note is a commemorative banknote issued by the Central Bank of Samoa to celebrate the 60th anniversary of independence. It is a brown, red, and blue note that is dated 2023, bears the signatures of Bank Governor Maiava Atalina Emma Ainuu-Enari and Finance Minister Mulipola Anarosa Ale Molioo, and measures. Its obverse side features the 60th-anniversary logo, the Samoan flag, the national coat of arms, and a portrait first female prime minister, Fiame Naomi Mata’afa. Its reverse side depicts the first prime minister, FiameMata’afa Faumuina Mulinuu II lowering the flag of New Zealand. Security features include a windowed security thread with a demetalized 60 and a watermark of a ginger flower with an electrotype CBS.
