This uncirculated 1,000 Jamaican dollar note is a commemorative banknote issued by the Bank of Jamaica to celebrate its 60th anniversary of independence. It is a blue polymer note that is dated 01 April 2022, bears the signature of Governor Richard Owen Byles, and measures 145 mm x 68 mm. Its obverse side features Alexander Bustamante, Norman Manley, the national coat of arms, and the 60th-anniversary logo overprint. Its reverse side shows a view of the Jamaica House in Kingston. Because it is a polymer note, it has a simulated windowed security thread with a hummingbird and a demetalized 1000, and a clear window of Alexander Bustamante and Norman Manley.
