This uncirculated 5 Brazilian Centavos on 50 Cruzeiros note is a provisional banknote issued by the Central Bank of Brazil in 1966. It is a purple, orange, blue, green, and red note that bear the signatures of Denio Chagas Nogueira and Otavio Gouveia de Bulhoes, and measures 157 mm x 67 mm. Its obverse side features a black circular BANCO CENTRAL 5 CENTAVOS overprint and Princesa Isabel wearing a pearl necklace. Its reverse side shows LEI AUREA (golden law of 1888 abolishing slavery) represented by seated allegorical women holding stone tablet with open shackles, chains, and stocks. There is no security thread or watermark. This note was withdrawn in 1972. The details of this note have been verified and TAP Authenticated by Banknote World experts.
