The West African States - Guinea-Bissau 1,000 Francs Banknote is a standard circulation banknote that is issued by the Central Bank of the Western African States in 2017 for Guinea-Bissau. It has a color combination of pink, orange, brown, and purple. Its obverse side shows a sawfish figurine, textbooks, a globe centered on the map of Africa, a chalk slate, a red cross, and the Bowl of Hygieia, the symbol of pharmacy that is made of a snake entwined around a chalice stem. Its reverse side depicts two camels (Camelus dromedarius) in Burkina Faso and the penal code. Security features include a 1-mm wide solid security thread with printed UMOA 1000, a denomination registration device, and a watermark of a sawfish with an electrotype 1000. The note bear the signatures of Tiemoko Meyliet Kone and Amadou Ba and measures 125 mm x 65 mm. This particular note is in uncirculated condition.
