The green and orange British pound note is part of the Queen Elizabeth II series issued by the Bank of England from 1971 to 1991. This particular note was designed by Henry Eccleston and was withdrawn on 1988. The obverse side of the note contains English text, a cornucopia, a medallion of a caduceus, a seated Britannia, an olive branch, and a portrait of Queen Elizabeth II. The note pays a homage to Sir Isaac Newton, one of the greatest mathematicians and most influential scientists of all time. His portrait, a telescope, and the geometric diagram of the solar system from the seminal work In Principia are featured on the reverse side of the note. The security features of the note include a solid security thread and a watermark of Isaac Newton. Its dimensions are 135 mm by 67 mm. The note is in uncirculated condition and TAP Authenticated by Banknote World experts.
