The 1,000 Indian rupee banknote from 2015 has a novel ascending size serial numbers, angular bleed lines, bigger identification marks, and two extra features to aid the visually impaired and enhance security against counterfeiting. The color scheme of the note is red, pink, yellow, orange, black, green, and light blue. Its front design includes the lion capital of Ashoka pillar, flowers, the Reserve Bank of India seal, and a picture of Mahatma Gandhi. Its back design depicts various economic activities of farmers riding a combine factor in a wheat field, an offshore oil drilling platform, a satellite, a steel mill, and a woman using a computeralong with a language panel. The note has a 3-mm wide green-to-blue windowed security thread with demetalized RBI and Sanskrit text. Its watermarks are a vertical electrotype 1000 and Mahatma Gandhi.
