This uncirculated 1,000 Kazakh tenge is the smallest denomination of the Samruk family of banknotes, which all have the mythical Samruk bird and electrotype denomination as the watermark. The Samruk family also have vertically oriented front sides and horizontally oriented backsides. The national emblem, a SPARK feature, flying doves, and two landmarks in Astanathe OSCE (Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe) building and the Kazak Eli monumentall appear on the front side. The outline of Kazakhstan and the landscape of the Ustyurt Plateau appear on the backside. The note has a 4-mm wide StarChrome windowed security thread with the tenge sign, bird, and 1000 printed in demetalized ink. The note is 134 mm long and 70 mm wide.
